Phase One
- The first step in the creation of Mackenzie Thorpe’s monumental works involved a series of rough, impulsive sketches outlining the dimensions and perspective of each sculpture. From these humble beginnings, a team of model-makers was assembled to build-up small clay forms for each work which closely resembled the artist’s two-dimensional guideline.
