Mackenzie Thorpe

Monumentals

The creation of monumental sculptures presents the realisation of Mackenzie’s iconic imagery becoming architectural reality. The works present the power of Mackenzie’s creativity on a new found scale with Mackenzie’s dedication and commitment to the works testifying to their exquisite and unique execution. The pieces, cast in traditional solid bronze and resin, are the result of work on an international scale with foundries active in the UK, China and America.

“Skipping Together”, standing in the Children's Physician Building and Children's Hospital at the Oklahoma University Medical Centre, embodies the spirit of these works. The evolution of this vision into a life size work demonstrates the processes and power of creativity; bringing joy through art works to the public and most importantly to individuals who come face to face with the significant figures.
